Three Generations Circle of Women Givers
Members of the Three Generations Circle of Women Givers believe that women and girls continue to face significant challenges to reach their full potential.
The Circle promotes the economic self-sufficiency and well-being of women and girls by:
- Educating our members and the general public about these needs
- Encouraging philanthropy in women and girls
- Raising much-needed funds for Women’s Resource Center programs and services.
The mission of the Circle is to educate and encourage women to become philanthropic, make a long-term positive impact on the community's quality of life, and enhance the financial welfare of community organizations dealing with women's issues.
In the past 15 years, the Circle has raised more than $423,000 to improve the quality of life and economic self-sufficiency of women and girls. Funds have been used to provide professional advice, legal services and information to victims of domestic violence at the WRC. Additionaly, the Circle has funded scholarships for WRC clients entering Northwestern Michigan College’s Bridge program, purchased shoes and educational materials for 45 students participating in the Girls on the Run program in Kalkaska, and many other good causes.
